The IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) has issued CBAP since 2006. It is the most demanding business analysis certification: 7,500 documented hours of experience over 10 years, 900 hours in 4 of the 6 BABOK Knowledge Areas, and 35 hours of training before you can even apply.
BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) v3 structures the discipline around 6 domains: planning, elicitation, requirements life cycle, strategy analysis, requirements analysis & design definition, and solution evaluation.
In francophone Africa, CBAP is a strong differentiator for senior Business Analysts targeting engagements with international donors, Big Four firms, or large banking and telecom enterprises — where day rates can double with the certification.
